Akshara Haasan (born on 12 October 1991) is an Indian film actor, screenwriter, assistant director who works primarily in Bollywood and Tamil film industry. Akshara was tipped to be launched by Mani Ratnam in his romantic tale Kadal opposite Gautham Karthik.She has also refused several other offers before accepting R. Balki's film. Akshara Haasan is the second daughter of actors Kamal Haasan and Sarika. Shruti Haasan is her elder sister. Akshara completed her schooling in Chennai, as well as enrolling at Bangalore's Indus International School. She has worked as assistant director to Rahul Dholakia in the Bollywood film Society starring her mother Sarika along with Om Puri, Randhir Kapoor, Seema Biswas and Dimple Kapadia. Akshara Haasan will be making her debut as an actress in R. Balki' s new directorial venture opposite Dhanush, which also has Amitabh Bachchan in the lead.
